Janice Marie Condie Woodbury

Janice Condie Woodbury passed away peacefully in her home on October 17, 2017, with her husband Ethan by her side. Married for 71 years, family meant everything to Janice and she meant everything to her family. She had a blessed life and blessed the lives of others. Born August 4, 1927 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Gibson and Hilda Mann Condie, the second offour children.She married Ethan Lambert Woodbury on March 13, 1946 in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they raised four boys: Scott, Doug, Kent, and Mark. She graduated from Cyprus High School in 1945and attended Stevens-Henagar College for two years. Asthe Granger areagrew, Janice and Ethan had strongcommunity ties and have been loved and respected by all who know them. Janice had a talent and love for music, teaching piano to many and singing in the Mormon Tabernacle Choir from 1963 to 1983, travelling the world. She served in many different capacities in her LDS wards and stakes, including placing children into homes through LDS Adoption Services. Janice and Ethan served as missionaries in the inner-city Cambodian Branch. She is survived by her loving husband Ethan; sons and daughters-in-law Scott and Jane, Doug's wife Lora, Kent and Ann, and Mark's wife Patti; 17 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Karen Condie. She was preceded in death by her two sons Mark and Doug; her parents; brother, Howard Condie; and sisters, Helen Sanderson and Thelma Mann. Many thanks to the kind and caring services of CNS Hospice. Especially Wendy and Debbie who so lovingly cared for Janice through this year. Friends and family are invited to aviewing on Sunday evening, October 22, 2017, 6pm-8pm at the McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, SLC.Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 23, 2017 at the Memorial Ward Building, 4251 South 4800 West, in West Valley at 11am, with a viewing 10:00-10:45am.
