William Bruce Brooks, 80, died April 17, 2014, in St. George, Utah. He was born February 8, 1934, to William B. and Vica Maie Fellows Brooks. On May 27, 1952, he married his sweetheart, Nelda Ann Harward in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they raised seven children and for Bruce, family was everything. Bruce was a fervent and faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He was a Bishop and is fondly remembered as the longtime Scoutmaster of Troop 644. He and Nelda later served as missionaries in the St. George Temple Visitors' Center and Historical Sites Mission and were ordinance workers in the St. George Temple for many years. Bruce retired as a Customer Service Foreman from Questar; was on the Board of Directors for the West Valley City Chamber of Commerce from 1983-1985; elected a PTSA president; received the BSA Silver Beaver Award; and entertained his family and others on many trips to Utah's mountains, streams and lakes. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant brother, two sisters and twin grandsons. He is survived by his wife and children, Susan (John) Nelson, Randy (Ana) Brooks, Stephen (Lori) Brooks, Larry (Nolene) Brooks, David (Carolyn) Brooks, Maree (Ronald) Pope, Matthew (Cynthia) Brooks; 37 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; sister, Janet Allen; brothers, Gary (Suzanne) Brooks, Joseph (Nancy) Brooks, and Russel (Carolyn) Brooks; and many nieces and nephews.
