Together Again Our mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, great-grandmother and friend, Dorothy Andrus Burbank, passed away at the age of 92 on December 13, 2014. Dorothy was born March 24, 1922 in St. Anthony, Idaho to Hazel Adlia Berg and Orel Telford Andrus. She spent her teenage years in Kenosha, Wisconsin and graduated from Kenosha High. She married Daniel Maughan Burbank in the SL Temple October 1, 1942. They moved to California shortly after the war and stayed there for over 50 years in the Bay Area. For the past 20 years they have been Utah residents in Taylorsville. Dorothy held many positions in the LDS Church but her favorite calling was always in the Primary. She loved to teach and spent hours preparing lessons. She was an Oakland Temple ordinance worker for 10 years, a faithful visiting teacher and ward member until the end. As her children aged, she worked as a cashier for Grodins and later as a receptionist for Kaiser Permanente Medical Group. Dorothy loved to learn and study the gospel. She enjoyed reading, tennis, cooking, being a member of her local DUP charter and traveling with Dan whenever possible. They took many trips abroad and when at home traveled often in their motor home. She was a loving and generous person and will be missed by family and friends. She is survived by her son, Daniel E. Burbank; daughters: Susan (Alan) Ferguson and Diane (Bruce) Cassens; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Miller. Preceded in death by husband; sons, Paul and Timothy; sisters, Elaine and Roberta; brothers, John and Edmond. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 20, 2014, 12:00 noon at the Jordan 4th Ward, 3676 West 4700 South where a viewing will be held, 10:30-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will follow at the Weston Cemetery, Weston, Idaho. Arrangements under the direction of McDougal Funeral Home.
