Ralph Carlisle Holder

Ralph Carlisle Holder, 87, passed away February 14, 2015. Born February 5, 1928 in Taylorsville, Utah to Louis and Mabel Carlisle Holder. He married Joyce Nelson February 28, 1951 in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they had two daughters and one son. He enjoyed many years of being the stake, ward and region dance director with his beautiful sweetheart. Together they served eight years as temple workers in the Jordan River Temple. Ralph loved his family and spending time with them. He had a wonderful sense of humor and an infectious smile. Survived by his wife, Joyce; daughters, Shauna (Carl) Herren and Denece (Rex) Checketts; son, Marlin (Tonya) Holder; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Jean (Dean) Parkin. Preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Louis and Alvin; sisters, Verna Witzack, Lyla Hirst, Margaret Marsden and Afton Mackay. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 19, 2015, 11:00 a.m. at the West Jordan 28th Ward, 7000 South 2700 West. Viewings will be held Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Thursday at the church, 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
