Destiny Ann McRae

April 23, 1981 — March 20, 2015

Destiny was born on April 23, 1981 at Travis Air Force Base Fairfield, California, to Eric and Cheryl McRae. Being one of three children born with the help of fertility treatment, making her name special. Her Dad's first words to her were"Destiny Ann Sweet Baby", which became the big DA." Destiny passed away peacefully on the first day of spring, March 20, 2015 after her aunt Kathleen had sung to her "I am a Child of God". Graduated from Hunter High in 1999 serving in PLT, honor roll, obtaining her CNA license before graduation. She went into private care for the elderly, showing compassion, empathy, and dignity for the end of life services for over 12 years until her health became a priority in 2008. Besides her dog, spliff who she called her goof-ball, her greatest joy was the birth of her son, Gage Thomas born on July 24, 2010 making him a third generation Pioneer Day birthday, sharing it with her brother and great-grandmother. She loved him more than life itself, as he was her miracle due to her health conditions. Destiny had an infectious personality with humor, kindness, making her a friend to all. She was an inspiration to anyone who knew her for her strength and tenacious spirit, always putting herself last. Her humor was contagious even in the midst of her own health conditions. The last few years bringing many obstacles, challenges, with her experiencing a loss she couldn't recover along with other health issues. She decided to put herself in the hands of her Heavenly Father. No more emotional, physical pain, turn up the music and run with Spliff dog.. your freeuntil we meet again. Survived by son, Gage (Max); parents; brother, Aaron; sister Kathleen; many nieces nephews, aunts and uncles. We would like to give special thanks to Woodland Park, who gave her special care; Angela; Warren and Tiffany along with Bristol Hospice and Shawne and extra care to the family.
