Beloved father, son and brother passed away September 1, 2015. We are heart broken by his loss but feel comforted knowing he is no longer in pain. He was born June 23, 1968 to David and Gladys Colvin in SLC, UT. He married Carrie Pratt in 1997 and they had two beautiful daughters together. They were later divorced. He adored his daughters and carried letters they had written him in his wallet. He was an avid outdoorsman and dearly loved to fish. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a very kind heart. He was a handy man and was always the first person to help anyone. He was a trucker before he became disabled last year. He always said his dad was his very best friend. His passing leaves a huge void in our family. He is dearly loved and will be sorely missed. He is survived by his beloved daughters Chandler (17) and Carley (15) Colvin; his parents Dave and Gladys Defa Colvin; sisters Robyn (Scott) Martin and Tonja (Greg) Dawes; brother Darrin (Paula) Colvin; and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by grandparents Emma and Harold Lemon; and Andrew and Calista Defa. We want to offer a special thanks to his neighbor Marie for her help and kindness. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 4, 2015, 11:00 a.m. at the Granger LDS ward house, 3274 S. Hillsdale Drive (2880), where a viewing will be held 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services.
