A. Richard Brown Sr. Together Again Asa Richard Brown Sr., 90, passed away April 15, 2012 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Born March 11, 1922 in Salt Lake City, Utah, son of Asa B and Mable Isabelle Waspe Brown. Married Jacqueline Applegate September 14, 1946 in Salt Lake City, Utah; she preceded him in death February, 2012. Richard served in the Navy on the USS Steamer Bay and was stationed overseas during WWII. After returning from service to his country, he began his life and his family with Jacqueline. Richard loved food and living life to the fullest. He enjoyed traveling with his wife. It was not unusual for them to happen across a race track or casino during one of their journeys. Richard loved race horses and poker. He had a quick wit and a great sense of humor. He relished being the life of the party. It always brought a twinkle to his eye when he could make you laugh. He kept everyone entertained with his one-liners, his magic tricks, and his songs. He had a song for every occasion and never hesitated to belt one out. He leaves behind a family who admires him tremendously, loves him deeply, and will miss him greatly. Yet, we are comforted in the belief he has reunited with his best friend and love-of-his-life, his wife of 65 years, Jacqueline.
