Aaron Dale Ames

In loving memory of our beloved father, husband, grandfather, Aaron Dale Ames, age 66, passed away March 7, 2016 in Taylorsville, Utah, due to complications of Heart Disease. Aaron was born March 4, 1950, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Ruben Ames and Dorothy Black Ames. He grew up in Chesterfield (West Valley City), where he met his high school sweet heart, Lola Louise Flitton. They married March 6, 1971. His love of Diesel Mechanics and large Diesel Machinist Engineering was his passion. His prize possession was his grandchildren, his children and family get-togethers. Preceded in death by his father, Ruben Ames; mother, Dorothy Black Ames; sisters, Barbara Perry, Debbie Ames, Ruth Longshaw, Judy Eklund; brothers Leon Ames, Wayne Ames. Survived by his wife, Lola Louise Ames, Taylorsville; son, Amos Aaron Ames, West Jordan; daughter, Andrea Aaron Ames Jr. Taylorsville; son, Aaron Amy Ames Jr., Taylorsville; granddaughter, Latisha Wootton; 4 grandchildren; sisters, Joy Wright, West Valley City and Leona Ames, Colorado. Memorial services will be held Friday, March 18, 2016, 9-12:00 noon at the LDS Chapel, located at 3676 West 4700 South, Taylorsville, Utah. Lunch will be provided following services.
