Adam LeGrand Johnson

On Friday night our beloved son, Adam LeGrand Johnson, passed away by an accident. Our hearts have been devastated by this unexpected and sudden tragedy. Through this difficult time we have been sustained by the love and support of family, friends, and even the kindness of strangers. We have faith in the power of our redeemer Jesus Christ and the love of God, and His spirit has truly carried us in our loss. We were sealed as a family in the Salt Lake Temple and are lifted by the knowledge that we will be with Adam again. Adam enjoyed camping with his family, actively participating in scouts, drawing, collecting pens, pencils and other art supplies. Adam enjoyed a good book, loved funny movies and playing video games with his family. He always helped others and Adam was always the first one to jump up and get things others may need and constantly served everyone around him. Adam found joy in cooking chocolate chip pancakes for his family and often put them in the shape of Mickey Mouse for his little sisters. Adam lived a true life of service, always finding way to help and lift others. His never-ending smile and genuine love for everyone filled his life on earth. Adam was one of deep thoughts, one who showed his love of God through his actions and has always been in His service. He often went with his family to the temple, he was reading The Book of Mormon and was very excited to begin Seminary this year. As he was determining his schedule, he wrote all of his classes in pencil, but made a point of writing Seminary in ink because no matter what, he wasn't going to change that class. Adam gave hugs to all of us every night before bed and his contagious laughter filled our lives with joy. When he smiled he did it from his heart, and he always loved to be close to those he loved. He has truly been a joy to our family. Adam was born May 29, 2001, in Murray, Utah. He left this life on February 27, 2015, full in the faith having pressed forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a love of God and all men and he endured to the end. We know that he is saved in the kingdom of our God, a young man made perfect through the power and atonement of our Lord Jesus Christ. Viewings to honor Adam will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, and again at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 4. The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 4. All services will be at the Riverton LDS 8th Ward, 12345 South 2700 West in Riverton, Utah. We invite all to come and rejoice with us in the quiet celebration of the legacy of his life. Adam is still united in our family, together with his mother, Teresa Hempel Johnson; father, Michael Jeremy Johnson; and brothers and sisters, Joshua Michael Johnson, Britney Michelle Johnson, Timothy Grant Johnson, Megan Elizabeth Johnson, Emily Rebecca Johnson, and Jenna Joy Johnson.
