Afton Cloward

Afton Washburn Cloward, 77, passed away August 6, 2022, in South Jordan, Utah. Born December 14, 1944, in Richfield, Utah to Jesse Ordean and Lola Sarah Miller Washburn. Married Elliott Lee Cloward May 6, 1965, in the Manti Utah Temple.

Afton was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She held many callings throughout her life with her favorites being Choir Director and Stake Music Coordinator.

Afton is preceded in death by her husband, Lee; siblings: Robert, Gloria Egbert and Lola Deanne Schnebly.

She is survived by their children: Brent (Debbie), Scott (Michelle), Kaylin (Neil) Lythall, and Susan (Richard) Glenn; 19 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ann Woods and Elaine Washburn.

We appreciate the service and care given to Afton by Carrington Court Assisted Living and Active Hospice.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 16, 2022, 12:00 noon at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, with a viewing from 11-11:45 a.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
