Afton Brockbank Isaac Beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother Afton LaReta Brockbank Isaac, 91, passed away peacefully at home on October 2, 2011 in Sandy, Utah. Born December 13, 1919 in Spanish Fork, Utah, daughter of Wells Thomas and LaReta Evans Brockbank. Married Bert Douglas Isaac August 23, 1939 in the Salt Lake Temple. She was raised in Spanish Fork, moved to Salt Lake City in 1962, to West Valley City in 1971 and has spent the last five years in Sandy. She was an active member of the LDS Church of which her favorite calling was Primary pianist. She retired from LDS Hospital where she worked in medical records for 25 years. Her favorite past time was being with her children and grandchildren. Survived by children: David (Annette) Isaac, Stephen Isaac, Paul (Pam) Isaac, Daniel (Jan) Isaac and Janet (Jim) Hood; son-in-law, Collin Mangrum; 22 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband, Bert; daughter, Barbara (Collin) Mangrum; brothers, Wells and Paul Brockbank; and grandson, Bradley Isaac. Special thanks to Janet and Jim and their family for their loving care shown to mother each day. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 6, 2011, 11:00 a.m. at the Hunter South Stake Center, 5160 West 4700 South where a viewing will be held Thursday, 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services.
