Afton Udy Moss "Sweetest Mother Ever" Afton Udy Moss, wife, mother, grandma & great-grandma, passed on February 28, 2014 in West Jordan, Utah. Born October 26, 1920 in Riverside, Utah to Horace Udy & Ella Pett Udy. Married Murray Milton Moss May 20, 1942 in Las Vegas, NV and later solemnized October 29, 1971 in the Salt Lake Temple. Mom enjoyed family get- togethers, DUP, Telephone Pioneers and church callings. She retired from Mountain Bell, made people feel good and always found the good in everyone. She was never negative. She loved reunions and the Ocean. We would like to thank Thank One Care, Copper Ridge & Bristol Hospice. Survived by daughters: Janus (Doug) Tanner, Kay (Bill II) Geist; 6 grandchildren: Becky (Shayne) Angle, Bill III (Becky) Geist, Shane (Nancy) Tanner, David (Alexis) Geist, Mike (Stephanie) Geist, Kimberly (Tyler) Haslam; 18 grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents; brother Ralph and sister Norma. There will be no public viewing. A funeral service will be held Thursday, March 6, 2014, 10:30 a.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road. Graveside service will be held Thursday, 1:00 p.m. at the Riverside Cemetery, Riverside, Utah.
