Alan Kendrick Madsen Schwind - "Schwindy", age 26, of Taylorsville, Utah, passed away unexpectedly June 29,2016. He was born to Pattye and David Schwind on December 15, 1989, in Murray, Utah. Alan graduated from Taylorsville High School where he excelled in music, drama and academics. He participated in many school and community theater productions under the direction of his drama teacher, Steve Schmidt. He attended the University of Utah and BYU. Alan owned his own production company, Featherweight Productions. He did editing, producing, and filming for local TV programs: Talking Pictures, BYU Sports, The Younger You, ABC 4 Early Morning News and Where There is Smoke. Alan served a full time mission to the France Paris LDS Mission, with Don Staheli as his mission president. He loved the country, the people and the missionaries he served with; many of whom became life long friends. He is survived by his mother, Pattye Schwind; father, David Josefssohn; sister, Elizabeth (Alex) Schwind; grandmother, Dawna Madsen; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins who dearly loved him. He was preceded in death by his grandpa, Bruce Madsen; grandmother, Beverly Degurski; and cousins, Breanna Madsen, and Matthew Madsen. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 9, at the Bennion 6th LDS Ward, 5775 South 2700 West. Those who would like to pay their respects my do so from 10 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church.
