Alice Alene Bicknell Perrine

After a long and fulfilling life devoted to her family, Alice, age 99, went to be with her Lord and Heavenly Father on March 19, 2019. She was born June 19, 1919 in Maybell, Colorado to David Emery and Lucy Bergman Bicknell. She had seven brothers and three sisters. She married the love of her life, Robert Dail Perrine, in 1935 and they began their married life in Meeker, Colorado. In the Depression years, employment opportunities were scarce so in 1938 they moved and settled in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Alice worked for the Woolworth Company for 30 years, retiring in June 1982. In her younger years, she loved to sing and play the guitar. She was an avid reader and liked the challenge of crossword puzzles. She loved traveling, visiting most of the United States and several foreign countries.

She was an active member in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and cherished her membership. She was very proud of her family and never forgot a birthday. She made candy every Christmas and crocheted afghan blankets for all the family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings; her husband Dail in 1974; and a son Thomas Perrine of Margate, Florida in 2010.

She is survived by her other children, LaDonna and Garth Hinckley of Knoxville, Tennessee, Jim and Patricia Perrine of Kingwood, Texas, Robert and Mickee Perrine of Salt Lake City, Utah; 11 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 43 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law.

She was an extraordinary woman and will be missed by everyone.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 24, 2019, 5:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, where a viewing will precede services from 4:00-4:45 p.m. The interment will be Monday, March 25th, 10:00 a.m. at Elysian Burial Gardens.
