Amos Samuel Norman

June 29, 1918 — July 5, 2014

Born June 29, 1918 in Moran, Kansas to Andrew Jackson Norman Jr. and Dora May Bortzfield. He died July 5, 2014 in West Jordan, Utah from complications of a broken hip compounded by old age, congestive heart failure and pneumonia. Amos lived a busy and productive life. He was known for being a very hard worker. Some of the things that occupied his time were farming, truck tire fleet maintenance and copy/printing machine repair and maintenance. He also had an entrepreneurial spirit. He owned a truck for hauling produce, a gas station, had his own recapping company, a dry cleaner and laundromat, flipped houses and built speculation homes. He was a man of many talents, even teaching himself to play the accordion and banjo. He loved making and fixing things. Amos enjoyed traveling with his wife and visited many countries. He enjoyed playing the banjo and played with the "Good Times Band." He took flying lessons when he was younger. Loved socializing and enjoyed family get-togethers. Amos and Frances went on an LDS mission to Middletown, New York. Amos knew how to celebrate life. Let us celebrate our own lives as he did. We love him and already miss him.
