Angela Maez Hards Vancure

September 26, 1956 — December 5, 2011

Angela Maez Hards Vancure Our dear mother, daughter, love, and sister, Angela Maez Hards Vancure, age 55, passed away quietly in her sleep early Monday morning December 5, 2011. Born September 26, 1956, our Momma was an eternal dreamer. A hell of a go-getter , who would stop at nothing once her eye was set on something she viewed as important enough to do something about. Her life was filled with many challenges, and a few struggles, as she did her best to raise three kids on her own. This all ultimately served in making her ever more strong, self-reliant, and carefree. She was spontaneous, adventurous, and proud to be who she was. Nothing more, nothing less. She taught her kids the core value of family unity and bond. Sticking together and always standing for what you believe in. Together we could conquer anything. She is the one who instilled in us the importance of a family side by side. One day you are all you will have. Love each other. And we always have. Mom had a passion for crafts and design, an eye for beauty, and the talent to pull it all together. She literally could transform any empty space into a cozy home with just a little paint and some wallpaper. She loved visiting the ocean, didn t matter which one, participating in all the charities, and socials at her church. In her last years she was able to find true serenity and community with the members of her church, and in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Momma, we love you so dearly, miss you so desperately and cling to our memories of you, our family and the love we shared together. We wish today only that we could have been given so many more of those precious years with you. The entire world changed when you left. Mom, please know you are, and will forever be, held close in our hearts, reside always in the cherished memories of the three of us, your children. In turn we will take comfort in knowing you are at peace, pain free and ever watching over us. We love you, mom. Angela Maez-Hards is survived by her parents, Adolph and Valentina Maez; three children, Michelle Ann, Ernest Bryce, and Adolph Travis Hards; long time love, David Shanklin; many, many brothers and sisters, aunts, uncles, and cousins; and Mr. Buffy, her baby boy (cat).
