Anita Ewell

Anita Ewell, 72, surrounded by her family, returned home peacefully to her loving Heavenly Father on August 2, 2017 in Nephi, Utah. Anita was born on February 28, 1945 to Mary Lucille Vest and Zachariah Henry Ewell Jr. in Santaquin, Utah. Anita will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and the students at Terra Linda Elementary, where over the last 12 years, she volunteered daily and was affectionately known to everyone as "Grandma". She is survived by her four children: Dorrelyn Smith, Gaynell Brown, Jayson Rogers, and William Rogers. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her brother Keith Ewell; and sisters Renee Keele and Mary Lou Sperry. She is preceded in death by her parents; and her brother Marlow Ewell. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 7th, 11:00 a.m., at Nephi 4th Ward, 349 East 400 North, Nephi, Utah. Viewings will be held Sunday, August 6th, 6:00-8:00 p.m., at the West Jordan Park 3rd Ward, 4825 West 7000 South, West Jordan, and again prior to services on Monday in Nephi from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Interment, Mona Cemetery. Services under the direction of McDougal Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted for Grandma's Reading Corner which is being created as a tribute to her at Terra Linda Elementary.
