Ann Bennion Brown, after 38 years, is finally reunited with her sweetheart. Our beloved mom, grandma, and grandma great passed away on August 15, 2016. Born November 10, 1936, to Everett Bennion and Amy Iretta Warren, Ann was the only daughter of three children. Her Grandma Nellie took Ann and her brothers in at a young age and led a happy life in Taylorsville, Utah. Ann dated the love of her life, Clair Eugene Brown, on and off while she attended Granite High School and during her studies at Utah State University where she was a member of the Chi Omega sorority. Ann and Clair were married November 30, 1956, in the Salt Lake City Temple. They had eight incredible children; five sons and three daughters. They had a deep love and a great life together until October 21, 1978, when suddenly Clair was killed in a tragic accident. Ann bravely raised her eight children on her own. She was a rock to her family and many others. After Clair's death, Ann had the blessing of working as a secretary for the LDS Church Education System at South, Highland and then Taylorsville High Seminaries. She absolutely loved her job and the association she had with the teachers, staff and students. She later published her inspirational book, The Widow's Might, traveled the world and adoringly devoted her time to her children and grandchildren. Family is what always mattered most. Ann Bennion Brown was not only a rock but a light in the lives of those she touched. She will be greatly missed and all of the memories cherished. Ann is survived by her children, Corby (Mark) Guymon, Layne (Robin), Todd (Rachelle), Lance (Nancy), Lexie (Wayne) Funk, Ryan (Pam), Troy (Natalie), and Elyece (Steve) Pace; 34 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; her dear brothers, Mervin (Donetta) Bennion, and Neal (Carolyn) Bennion; and her brother-in-law, Larry (Mildred) Brown.
