Ardis Bracken Kettle, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away December 19, 2014, at the age of 93, after having lived a full and accomplished life. She was born October 10, 1921 to George and Ellen Todd Bracken. She grew up in Roosevelt, Utah during the great depression and learned to work hard, to be resourceful and creative in meeting life challenges. Ardis married her high school sweetheart, Elton Kettle, October 1, 1941. They had six children. They moved to Taylorsville in 1956 to obtain services for their two handicapped children. She dedicated her life addressing her family's needs. She loved and enjoyed her family and sacrificed for their well being. She was truly a shining light to her family and others. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings and provided endless service to others. She was a true follower of the Savior. She loved to keep busy. She learned and loved to paint, garden, write, read, camp, hunt and collect rocks. She taught herself to play the piano and organ. She is survived by 2 children, Doug (Charlene) Kettle and Debra (Duncan) Barlow; 17 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Elton; daughters, LaRane, Rose Marie; sons, Dennis and Stephen. Interment, Roosevelt City Cemetery.
