Arlene Katie Jensen Coverstone passed away peacefully at her son's home in Alpine, Utah on January 29, 2017. Arlene was born at home in Grover Wyoming on August 6, 1926 to Lorenzo and Katie Jensen, the youngest of 7 children. She met Ross Coverstone at a dance and two weeks later they were married on February 17, 1952. Later they were sealed for time and eternity in the Idaho Falls Temple. During their marriage, they were blessed with a daughter and two sons. In 1965 Her employment at the Star Valley Phone Company led to her transfer to Salt Lake City, Utah where she continued work until retirement. In later years, she and Ross moved to St. George, Utah, where many more memories and friends were made. Ross passed away in 1999 and she later married Keith Larsen. After a few short years, together he also preceded her in death. In 2004 she decided to move to Gig Harbor, WA. to live with her daughter. In 2014, after almost 10 years she decided to move back to Riverton, and then to Alpine to live with her son and daughter-in-law. She touched so many lives during her earthly journey and we will always be thankful for this great woman. She had a quiet strength and dignity that impressed many people. She taught us that the family unit is a treasure, worth sacrificing for and giving our all to and she loved with a heart of gold. We were blessed as a family to have her for 90 years and because of her example we will have her in eternity. Her many years of genealogy have been instrumental in helping families be united eternally. She spent countless hours researching her husband's heritage and turning their information into the temple. Literally thousands have benefitted from her research. She enjoyed her earthly talents and was blessed with many, she played the piano by ear, she started oil painting after retirement and was a natural, she impressed many with her wonderful ability to tell stories of the past, was a talented gardener and a masterful cook. She loved the Savior Jesus Christ and the goodness of His teachings. Her children Marcia (Ralph), Val (Terese), Bart (Michelle), are trying our best to embrace her lifetime of lessons - knowing however, that the impact of her life is incomprehensible. She leaves behind her children and their spouses; 8 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one brother Keith (Nadine) Jensen. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 3, 2017, at 1:00 p.m., with viewing one hour prior to service at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Grover, Wyoming. Interment will be in the Grover Cemetery. Place of Birth:Grover, WyomingPlace of Death:Alpine, Utah
