Audrey Lou Morton Larsen passed away on 1 November 2023 at the age of 85 in Gloucester, Virginia. She was with family and friends in her final hours.
Born 13 January 1938 in Salt Lake City, Utah to William John Morton and Sarah Jessie Needham Morton, she was number seven of eight children. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various callings throughout her life. She was an avid student of history and the world around her. She also loved to read and write, and she was talented in a variety of crafts. Audrey was also fond of travel and was able to experience and enjoy several different cultures in her lifetime.
Audrey is survived by two sons, David W. Larsen (Melissa) and Stephen C. Larsen (Hope), along with nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; brother James Morton (Reva); and precious friends Billie Mavoureen Harper, Joan Hansen, and Luana Thorup; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Shirley, Flora, Merle, and LeElda (Leda), and brothers Glenn and Duane.
There will be a visitation on Wednesday, 8 November 2023 from 6:00-8:00pm and 9 November 2023 from 10:00-10:45am. Funeral services will be held on 9 November at 11:00am. All services will be held at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah. Interment will be at the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
It is Audrey’s wish that those attending wear bright, festive colors. In lieu of flowers, she requested donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
