Barbara May Compton Adams

Barbara May Compton Adams, 91, passed away March 25, 2015 in West Valley City, Utah. Born October 20, 1923 in Weiser, Idaho, daughter of Ephriam John and Polly Sarepta Child Compton. Married Donald M. Adams September 17, 1944 in Weiser, Idaho; he preceded her in death September 15, 1986. She also lived in Oakland, CA, San Lorenzo, CA, Provo, UT and West Valley City, UT. Former employee of Montgomery Ward, Shaklee Corp and the State Offices of Idaho. She served in numerous LDS callings, including a mission to San Diego, CA and served 6 church service missions. She was very devoted to her family. Survived by children: Donald (Pam), and Karen, both of West Valley City; N. Vance (Sally), Antioch, CA; Cindy (Richard) Parry, Sandy, UT; Julie Mae (Cheryl), Brentwood, CA; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; brother, Grover L. (Linda) Compton. Also preceded in death by parents; brothers Claude, Elliott and Berkley; sister, Lucille Anderson; grandson, Christopher Parry. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 30, 2015, 11:00 a.m. at the Jordan Parkway Ward, 1510 W. Parliament Ave. (3910 S.) where a viewing will be held 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Provo City Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of McDougal Funeral Home.
