Barbra Ann Palmer Wiggins Ferrin Smith, born October 12, 1944, Ogden, Utah, died April 18, 2013 in Salt Lake City, Utah. The last of a generation left this earth for a joyous reunion with many loved ones, including her parents, siblings, husbands and son. Barbra Ann was born to George Edwin and Ruth Young Palmer October 12, 1944, in Ogden, Utah. Barbra spent her youth in California, Utah, and Idaho. She graduated from Davis High School in 1962. She married William Stewart (Bill) Wiggins in May, 1962. The couple made their home in Beaumont, Texas. Barbra was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and fulfilled many callings in Relief Society and Primary. Bill became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and they were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple in 1974. Widowed on March 3, 1978, by Bill s untimely death, Barbra moved with her son to Rexburg, Idaho. Here she met David Ferrin and they were married in 1981. Widowed again in 1986, Barbra moved to Salt Lake City to be near extended family. She married Donald A. Smith in 1992. Together they enjoyed many years of happiness until his death in 1998. Barbra loved her family, Tanner her special companion, and her many friends. She worked in the medical field and understood and loved the marvelous workings of the body. Barbra loved music, she was a great homemaker (but hated to cook), loved doing crafts and sewing, and was a life long reader. Her many trials in life included loss of husbands, son Jordan Stewart who passed away in May 2009, and siblings, but she was upheld by her Savior s love and caring. Even though ill health plagued her throughout her life, Barbra was always willing to try something new. Barbra was known for her quick laugh and a welcoming smile. Her gentle spirit will be missed by those she left behind. Barbra is survived by her daughter Laura Ruth, grandchildren, Lauren Michelle, Kristy Lee, and Ian Fox, and great-grandchildren: Mikayleigh Ann, Taylor Jade, Kendra Lynn, and Wesley James. A family gathering will be held in remembrance of her life and a memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2013, at 4 pm at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Salt Lake City, Utah. Donations may be made in Barbra s memory to Canine Country Club, 1256 West 2550 South, Ogden, UT 84401, for care of Tanner. Hobbies:Music, doing crafts, sewing and readingOccupation:Receptionist
