"Never selfish, always loving and kind. These are memories you leave behind." Beatrice Manning Hansen passed away peacefully Monday, January 25, in Salt Lake City, Utah at the age of 80. She was surrounded by loving family, friends, and patrons. Bea was born November 18, 1935 in Farmington, Utah to Horace and Melvie Manning. She attended Davis High School and went onto Excelsior Beauty College where she learned her passionate trade. On October 8, 1957 she was married to the love of her life Jerrold Richard Hansen and later sealed in the LDS temple. Throughout their marriage Bea and Richard resided with their families in Castle Dale, Green River, and West Valley City, Utah. Bea's favorite past times included loving life, being a beautician, crocheting, and spending time with family, friends, and patrons. She enjoyed many summers camping with her family at Rockport Reservoir and Joe's Valley and holiday's at her brothers' farm in Primeville, Oregon. Bea and Richard also loved and raised many dogs throughout their life together. She was blessed to have her loving husband Jerrold Richard Hansen; 4 children, Craig R. (Valorie) Hansen, Gordon J. (Lonnie) Hansen, Doug R. (Carol) Hansen, and Laurie A. Hansen; 8 grandchildren, Brandie (James) Kretzschmar, Cody (Stephanie) Hansen, Cody (Erica) Sandoval, Kellee (Aurelion) Fiardet, Preston (Cori) Hansen, Chanley (Benjamin) Clark, T.J. (Nikki) Kelly, and Wesley (Ashley) Kelly; and 14 great-grandchildren, Tye Hansen, Sydney Sandoval, Isabella Sandoval, Easton Hansen, Abbigail Howard, Remington Clark, Elijah Kelly, Kylee Kelly, Karrlino Kelly, Niecio Kelly, Emilio Gallegos, Jackson Cole, Dakota Cole and Taylor Cole, by her side throughout life. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at 12:30 p.m. at Valley View Cemetery, 4445 West 4100 South, Salt Lake City, Utah 84120.The family would like to thank the owner and patrons of Julie Art Salon as well as the medical staff at St. Marks Hospital and Residence of CareSource for their kind care and support.
