Bertha “Bertie” Marie Hullinger, 83, of Paris, Texas, passed away Friday, October 22, 2021, in Dallas, Texas. Bertie was born May 9, 1938, in Bridgeland, Utah to Shelby Merrell Lisonbee and Elva Susan Christensen Lisonbee.
Bertie married Larry Almond on November 7, 1958. They were blessed with 4 children, Steve, Doug, Tracy and Krista.
In 2009, Bertie was re-united with her high school sweetheart, Lynn Edward Hullinger and they were sealed in the Jordan River Temple on April 10, 2010. They made their home in Paris, Texas, where they have happily resided for the last 11 years. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she happily served in many callings including Relief Society President, gospel doctrine teacher, ward missionary and others.
She and Lynn served in the Tennessee, Nashville mission from 2013-2014. She loved the Lord and served Him faithfully through her earthly life.
Bertie was an accomplished seamstress and a master with the needle and thread. Her family is her highlight and she was adored by her family and friends. She brought a warm light and a gentle smile to everyone she met, which will greatly be missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Clay Lisonbee; and sister Shelley Graham.
She is survived by her husband, Lynn; children Steve Almond (Natalie), Doug Almond (Chris), Tracy Almond (Lorna), Krista Johnson (Jim), Sohn Hullinger, Cara Coco (Keith) and Mattie Devore; 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; bother Ron Lisonbee (Emmalee) along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 29, 2021, 11:00 am, with a viewing from 10:00 – 10:45 am at the Draper Crescent View Chapel, 11626 South 300 East, Draper, UT 84020. Viewing will be held Thursday, October 28th from : 6-8 pm at McDougal Funeral Home , 4330 S Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah. Interment, Mountain View Memorial Cemetery, Cottonwood Heights, Utah
