Bessie Dickson Hatch Tripp 1919 - 2013 Bessie Dickson Hatch Tripp, 94, passed away October 6, 2013. She was born March 30, 1919 in Cowley, Wyoming, the sixth of seven children of Edith Banks and Bart Dickson. She married her "True Love", Boyd Ottinger Hatch, February 16, 1940 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. They had 3 children together and raised their family in Salt Lake City. He preceded her in death after 25 years of marriage. Later she married Ray Johnson and then Harold Tripp, who also preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her 2 sons Brenton Boyd and Bruce Dickson Hatch; son-in-law Raymond Rasmussen; grandson Stephen Rasmussen. She is survived by her daughter Beverly Rasmussen; brother Gwynn Dickson; 7 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Bessie loved life and her family and was generous with her time and talents. She was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She owned and ran her own business as a beautician for many years and then earned her degree as an RN. She worked as a nurse at LDS Hospital until she retired. She loved to garden and had many beautiful flowers. She was also skilled at ceramics, crocheting, knitting, needlepoint, painting and many other talents. She loved to tell stories, dance, play pool, host parties and to laugh. She had a wonderful sense of humor. She served faithfully in many callings in the LDS Church and supported many grandchildren on their missions. We will miss her dearly but we know she is with those who have gone before and is happily reunited with her loved ones. A viewing will take place Friday, October 11, 2013, 10:30 am at the LDS Chapel on 2976 West Winchester Dr. (4270 S.), West Valley City, where funeral services will follow at 12:00 noon.
