Bessie June Talbot Sanders

Bessie June Talbot Sanders passed away August 13, 2016 in Hurricane, Utah. Born January 15, 1928 in Panguitch, Utah to Leland Talbot and Laura Dickinson Talbot. She moved to Salt Lake City while in Jr. High and graduated from West High School where she made life long friends. Bessie married Clayton Boyd Sanders November 14, 1946. They had two children, Robert Boyd and Susan. Member of the LDS church serving in Primary, Relief Society and Young Women. Enjoyed them all but especially loved working with the Youth as a Ward and Stake Sports and Camp Director then Stake President of the Young Women in the Granger North Stake. She was a loving example and made a big impact on many of the lives of youth she served. She had many jobs outside of the home but none she enjoyed more than the years she spent at KSOP working in radio production and concert promotions. She loved country music and met and became friends with many famous singers and musicians. She was a wonderful cook and seamstress and loved the outdoors. She loved entertaining and having family and friends in her home. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister and neighbor. She had an outgoing bubbly personality and made friends of all ages everywhere she went. She was often the glue that held together clubs and longtime associations. She is survived by her daughter Susan, her "Sunny Law" Stephen Winn; Sister Winona Fullmer; sister-in-law Bonnie Sheffield; and little dog Willa. She will be missed by many nieces; nephews; "adopted" grandkids; and "shirt tail" relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son; brother Harold Talbot; and grandson, Christopher Max Freestone. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 19, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Jordan View Ward, 1165 W. 2320 S., West Valley City, Utah. Friends and family may visit at the McDougal Funeral Home, Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at 4330 S. Redwood Road and one hour prior to the services Friday at the church. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
