Bessie Matilda Korous Bridge

Bessie Bridge As I Have Loved You Our much loved mother, wife, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Bessie Matilda Korous Bridge, passed away August 16, 2011. She lived a long life and was a great example to all. Bessie was born October 13, 1916 to Yaro Edward and Grace Elizabeth Howell Korous in Salt Lake City, Utah. She started kindergarten at Onequa School on the west side. She then moved and attended the Blaine School, Granite Jr. and Granite High School. She met Clyde William Bridge and they married September 21, 1937. Her greatest love and joy was her husband and family. She will be remembered for her sweet disposition and her kindness and service to everyone. She could stitch anything on a sewing machine and many have benefitted from her many handmade gifts. She is survived by her children: Karyn, David (Candace), Marvin (Judy), Russell (Deborah); her blessing of 23 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Clyde; daughter, Ida Elizabeth Bridge Fort; her parents; 5 brothers; 1 sister. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 20, 2011, 11:00 a.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road where a viewing will be held Friday, 6:30-8:00 p.m. and Saturday, 10-10:45 a.m. before the services.
