Beth Richards

Beth Elaine North Richards, age 90, passed away of natural causes on February 3,2023 in West Jordan, Utah. Beth was born August 17,1932 in Murray, Utah to John Grant North and Sarah Eliza Berrett. She was the second youngest of six children.

Beth married Leonard Keith Mackay September 14,1950, in the Salt Lake Temple, later divorcing. Together they had three sons, Leonard Keith Mackay Jr. (Becky), Craig Grant Mackay and Wayde Preston Mackay. Beth longed for a daughter and soon adopted a beautiful daughter, Melody Mackay Robertson (John).

Beth married Wayne Morgan October 5,1972, in Evanston, Wyoming. Wayne and Beth enjoyed raising and showing Arabian horses. They made their home in the Jordan Narrows near Camp Williams, Bluffdale, Utah. Beth became a widow in 1990.

Beth married Jackson Homer Richards June 7, 1991. They made their home in Jackson, Wyoming. Together they would spend time going to SLC and Idaho to visit their children and grandchildren. Between the two of them they had 11 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. She was later widowed in May of 2009.

Beth was preceded in death by her husbands, Wayne (1990), Jackson (2009), son Craig (1967), parents Grant North, Sarah North, siblings Roberta Richardson, Larna Stitt, LeRoy North, and Merle Moyer. She is survived by her children, many grandchildren and brother Jack North.

A viewing will be held in honor of Beth Elaine North Richards, aka NANA, on February 10, 2023, at 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at McDougal funeral home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah.

Interment at 12:30 P.M. at the Murray City Cemetery, 5600 South Vine Street, Salt Lake City, Utah.
