Bette Dawn Coltrin Hogebaum

July 3, 1940 — April 9, 2021

Bette Dawn Hogebaum was born July 3, 1940 in Franklin, Idaho. Bette was reunited with her countless family and friends on April 9, 2021 and into the loving arms of our Heavenly Father.

Bette was a loving, kind, thoughtful, and generous person. Bette’s family always came first. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She faced many struggles with her health in the past years, but always had a positive outlook. She never let on how bad her infirmities really were.

She was a registered nurse and worked with L&D. She loved her family and always made that known. Her faith in Heavenly Father had helped her tremendously. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was sealed to the love of her life, Richard Hogebaum on June 19, 1974 at the Ogden Temple.

Bette is survived by her daughter; Ida Young; son; Richard Hogebaum Jr. (Kirsten); daughter; Dawn Shaw (Jeff); Son; John Hogebaum (Wendy). 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by husband; Richard Hogebaum; parents; John and Betty; sister; Janice.

She is survived by sisters, Carren Iseri, Janet Haslam(Craig), Debby Wilcox (Steve); brother, Ron (Vicki); brother-in-law Don Patton; and many nieces and nephews.

Both Bette and Richard will be interred Saturday, April 17, 2021, 2:00 p.m. at the Franklin Cemetery, Franklin, Idaho.

 

Richard C. Hogebaum

1943-2020

Richard Charles Hogebaum Sr. was born March 14, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois. Richard was reunited with his countless family and friends on September 23, 2020 and into the loving arms of our Heavenly Father.

Richard was a loving, kind, thoughtful and generous person. He was a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He always put his loving wife first and made her comfortable. He was a good handyman and also had a fondness for gardening. Richard was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was sealed to the love of his life, Bette Coltrin on June 19, 1974 at the Ogden Temple.

He is survived also by niece, Tamara; and nephew, Steven.

Preceded in death by his parents; brother; Tom; sister; Susan.
