Kearns, Utah - Bettie Rae Jacobson Harrison, 91, Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Friend passed away peacefully Wednesday December 26, 2018.

Born October 30, 1927 in Hinckley, Utah to William LeRoy and Mildred Jacobson. Married to Robert Roy Harrison until his passing in 1986.

Bettie attended BYU and graduated from the University of Utah and began her teaching career that lasted for decades. She spent the majority of her teaching career at Kearns Junior High School. She held a special bond with several of her students which lasted through her final days. She received many awards over the years, including Teacher of the Year from Kearns Junior High School in 1996 among other education awards from Granite School District and The Utah House of Representatives. She retired from teaching in June of 2000 and continued substituting for a few years after.

Bettie enjoyed watching the Utah Jazz, Utah Utes Gymnastics and Hale Center Theater performances with friends and family. She was an avid traveler, visiting countries all around the world. She was the greatest supporter of all to her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren in all of their activities.

Bettie is preceded death by her Parents, Husband and Brother Richard Jacobson. Survived by her Sisters Yvonne, Karen, Marilyn, her Son Robert Brent Harrison (Judy), her Daughter Vickie Mannek, her three Grandsons Brandon Mannek (Sharmin), Bryce Mannek (Nicole), Ben Harrison, and seven Great Grandchildren.

A viewing will be held Wednesday January 2, 2019 at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah from 6 pm to 8 pm.

Funeral services will be held Thursday January 3, 2019 at the Westwood Heights 2nd Ward LDS Chapel 3976 West Dimrall Drive (5615 South) Kearns, Utah at 11 am with a viewing an hour prior to services.
Interment at Redwood Memorial Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah.
