Betty Ann Boyd

September 2, 1931 — January 26, 2015

Our Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother Betty Ann Boyd, age 83 returned home on January 26, 2015. She was born September 2, 1931 in Manco, Colorado to William and Paulita Howard. Betty lost her parents at a young age and was then raised by the Candelaria family in Cortez Colorado. She met and later married George E Boyd on September 6, 1957. They settled in Phoenix, AZ where on November 11, 1954 they had their first and only daughter Sherolyn. They spent a lot of time traveling with her husbands job and eventually bought a home and settled in Rose Park, Utah. Betty enjoyed spending a lot of her time at their cabin in Duchesne with friends and family. What Betty enjoyed the most in life was spending time with her grandchildren in anyway she could. There was nothing she wouldn't do for the ones she loved. One of the things that made Betty the happiest was to have a full house of family and friends cooking her famous enchiladas and watching everyone enjoy them. There were non-stop requests for her amazing homemade tortillas. She loved life to the fullest and was always eager to learn more and more. She loved camping outdoors, going to movies, reading and loved going to Wendover to gamble and she was always a winner! In 1998 her husband George passed away and she moved out on her own to start a new chapter in her life. On August 13th, 2007 she remarried to Mark Jordan. Mark was a joy to her and her partner in crime. He made her laugh and was the best companion to her. They were together in everything they did. From gardening to taking long walks and of course shopping. She was the most unique person with a unique family history. She was 50% Apache and had the strength and the energy drive to go along with her heritage. She spoke fluent spanish and made friends wherever she worked or lived. She was the foundation to this family and the center we all gravitated to. It was always very important to her that we spent at least every Sunday together at her home for dinner. It never mattered to her if there was enough food to feed everyone it was always the more the merrier, everyone was always welcome. She could make a meal out of pretty much anything and some how always made more than enough. We will miss her smile, her beauty and her caring spirit. No one can ever replace her. You are loved and will be missed more than words can say. As life has it, you're off to the best and final chapter as we know it. Survived by sister, Georgia Luisa; husband Mark; only daughter Sherolyn Stone (Mike Constantini); granddaughter Deja (Jeff) Jensen; two grandsons Christopher Margetts (Tennille); Charles Stone and 5 great grandchildren Aspen, Ian, Travis, Madison and Grace. As well as many nieces and nephews whom she loved and thought of often, especially Bobby Wilson and Patricia Vigil who we know made her so happy by making time to still visit with her. The family would like to express great gratitude to the staff and surgeon who did all possible to make sure she had the best care possible.
