Beloved Mom, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, Sister and Aunt Betty Kay (Saupe) Giles of West Valley City, Utah age 87 passed away Friday April 4, 2025, surrounded by family.
Betty Kay was born on October 31, 1937, to Otto and Irene Saupe in Heber City, Utah.
Betty loved spending time with her kids and grandkids sharing early family memories with them.
Betty was an avid Elvis fan with many favorite songs and movies of his.
Betty had a wicked sense of humor which she passed on to her three children.
Betty met and later married Earl "Boyd" Giles on August 7, 1954, in Heber City, Utah and welcomed 3 children.
Kristy (Fred) Boehme, West Valley City, Utah, Bonnie Badgett, Fort Worth, Texas, Micheal Giles, Fort Worth, Texas.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband Boyd, parents Otto and Irene, brother Farrell, and sister Jean.
She is survived by her children, 9 grandchildren, Chad (Vanda) Boehme, Daniel Boehme, Tiffany (Justin) Nish and Cory Boehme, Heather (Justin) Ketterer, Christopher (Tiffany) Badgett, Michael (Heather) Giles, Stephany (Daniel) Ralston, Nikki Giles, and 19 great-grandchildren; also, brother and sister-in-law Benny (Millie) Saupe, favorite cousin Richard Hardinger, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
A special thank you to Emily, Giovani, Lynzie, and Jacqueline of Quality Hospice for taking such special and loving care of our Mom and family.
A visitation to honor Betty will be held Wednesday April 9, 2025, from 6 to 8 PM.
The funeral will be held Thursday April 10, 2025, at 11:00 AM, with a visitation from 10 to 10:45.
Services will be held at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah.
Interment will be at Heber City Cemetery, 680 North 550 East, Heber City, Utah.
