Betty Jean Kent Stowe

After living a rich, full life of 85 years, our beautiful, caring, loving mother passed away at home on January 28th surrounded by all her children. Born March 23, 1932 in Toquerville, Utah to Naomi Jean Kent and Robert Stearman Kent. Betty had 11 brothers and sisters and is survived by 2 brothers; Robert and Jack Kent; children: Kathleen (Morgan) Fisher, Sherrill (Lewis) Cranney, Keith (Ilene) Stwe, Barbra (Richard) Lee and Deann (Craig) Mullen. Betty leaves behind 24 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren who love and adore her. She is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Garth L. Betty was an active member of the LDS church and served faithfully in her ward and stake. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, avid gardener, accomplished seamstress and created beautiful needlepoint/embroidery masterpieces. Her family was her life and she was amazingly devoted to them all. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 1, 2018, 11-12 at the Western Hills 1st Ward, 5380 West 5400 South, Kearns, Utah. Gathering for family and friends will be 9:30-11 am before the funeral. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
