Judy “Sugar” Beverly Rae Shadden Bridge, age 78 passed away on Easter morning, April 4, 2021 after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. She was fierce and brave to the very end.
She was born in Montrose, CO on September 17, 1942 to Ray and Beverly Shadden.
She leaves behind her husband and best buddy Marvin of 47 years; daughter Shelly Cooper (Steve); sister Betty Jean Wing; grandsons Don Lund (Kamie), Dave Lund (Sarah); great-grandchildren Audrie and Carter; and her best friend Darla.
She was best known as “Sugar”. She and Marvin opened and operated My Sugar’s Donut Shopp for 28 years. She greeted thousands of customers with her infectious smile and quick wit. Everyone loved “Sugar”!
She was a hard worker and always gave 110%. She didn’t walk through life, she skipped. She lived a healthy lifestyle and worked out religiously. She had a very special bond with her great granddaughter Audrie Paige. They were two crazy peas in a pod.
She had a talent for making any home a beautiful castle. She loved her neighborhood and her neighbors and they loved her in return. She was a big fan of Neil Diamond, Cher, Tina Turner, Rod Stewart. She was always dancing and prancing around. She was very adventurous and would be the first to say “I’m in” when everyone else was shaking their head no. She loved her family, ice cream, reading, shopping and meeting her best friend every week for lunch and bowling.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sister JoAnn; and brother-in-law Dick.
