Beverly Jean Brown (Strom), age 82, passed away on September 15, 2024, in Holladay, Utah. Born on July 31, 1942, in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho, Beverly was known for her generous spirit and resilience, qualities that endeared her to many throughout her life. She enjoyed playing basketball and volleyball and helped create an athletic program for girls which is still in place today at Marsh Valley High School.
Beverly's commitment to her faith was evident in her active participation in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Beverly served in the nursery where she loved teaching the children about the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Her chosen profession was nursing. As a licensed practical nurse, Beverly worked at Primary Children's Hospital and various nursing homes throughout the Salt Lake valley during her career.
Beverly was an avid square dancer and loved classic cars and hot rods. She enjoyed square dancing with her husband Dan and attending classic car shows. These activities brought joy not only to her but to everyone who had the pleasure of being with her.
Beverly's life and legacy will be remembered fondly by all who knew her. Beverly valued spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her parents George Albert Strom and Fern Oleva Strom, and her husband Daniel Brown. She is survived by her brother Charles Strom, her three children, Bonnie Arnold (Kirk), Tammy Tanner (Eric), and William Brinda (Misty). She has nine grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren
Memorial services for Beverly will be held at the Taylorsville 9th Ward at 2030 West Chateau Avenue in Taylorsville, Utah on the morning of Saturday September 21st, 2024. The viewing will be at 9:00 AM and the Funeral at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at 2:30 PM in the Lava Hot Springs Cemetery in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho. McDougal Funeral Home in Taylorsville, Utah, is handling the arrangements.
