Beverly Frankland

Beverly Garrett Frankland left her loved ones on earth to join her loved ones in heaven on February 16, 2021. She was born August 27, 1928 to Herbert William Garrett and Clara Olivia Clark Garrett, in Grantsville, Utah. She lived in Ophir, Utah for a time and then moved with her parents and siblings to Salt Lake City, Utah. She married and had 6 wonderful children.

She loved her family and her many friends, who became family to her. She wasn’t afraid to say what she thought and loved to embarrass her kids and grandkids. Her testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ was the most important thing to her that she had. She was an excellent gardener and loved to plant vegetables and flowers and hated the weeds. She had an amazing amount of energy and love of life; people called her the Energizer Bunny. She loved to joke around and cause mischief; she was called Sister Trouble.

Beverly was a collector. She collected salt and pepper shakers, Precious Mmoments figurines, Beanie Babies, rocks, and Madame Alexander dolls. She collected at one time 4 copies of the movie “The Terminal”. She loved to collect nativities, we lost count after 50. They represented the importance of the birth of Jesus Christ; she even kept a few up all year long. She heard once that FROG stood for “Fully Rely On God”; at that point, she became an avid frog collector. The most precious thing she collected was her family and her friends.

Christmas was her favorite time of the year. Christmas parties were always better because of her and her enthusiasm. She loved to give presents to as many people as she could, even if they were small gifts.

She loved to go on travel adventures and was able to go to a few places that she loved. She went to Alabama a few times and made good friends there. She loved to go to southern Utah and to Idaho to see the waterfalls. Even though she was on oxygen and most of the time had to be in her wheelchair, nothing could stop her. Some of her favorite trips were to travel to different temples.

She was preceded in death by her father, Herbert William Garrett; mother, Clara Olivia Clark; brother, Harry Garrett; sister, Mary Potter.

She is survived by her siblings: Dorothy (Don) Robinson, Jim Garrett, Fred Garrett, Elaine (Hyrum) Reich. She is also survived by her children: Sharry Fellows, Ruth (Dan) Pope, Judy (Chuck) Lynch, Jackie Maxfield, John (Debbie) Frankland, and Deanne Wiggins. She has 32 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren plus 2 more on the way, and 6 great-great-grandchildren and her family is still growing strong. She cared for many children who she considered to be her grandchildren and they are part of her legacy.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 22, 2021, 11:00 a.m. at the Crescent 3^rd Ward Building, 949 East 10600 South, Sandy, Utah. Interment, West Jordan City Cemetery. Services will be livestreamed at:  https://tinyurl.com/cns3ward
