Blaine Hill, born July 9, 1919 to Edith Lucinda Mitchell and George Albert Hill in Lake Shore, Utah. He had two brothers, George Hill and Vance Hill. After his mother passed, his father then married Velma Graves, giving Blaine six more siblings: LaReta, Sterling, Martha, Clarence, Lloyd and Shirlene.
He grew up in Lakeshore, Utah. He married Helen Ellison. They had two sons, Richard (Charlotte) and Larry Don (Mary). He had 18 grandkids, 74 great-grandkids, and 51 great-great-grandkids. He and Helen were later divorced. He married Faye Clontz and they had 35 years together before she passed away. In 1989, he married Cherrell Thomas.
Blaine served during WWII as a marine in Okinawa and was injured.
Blaine worked for Rio Grande Railroad for 40 years as an engineer. He worked all his life until he was 86 years old. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Later in life, he became a Temple Ordinance Worker. He loved his God, his country of America and most especially, his family.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 1, 2020, 2:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, with a viewing prior to services from 1:00-1:45 p.m. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
