Bonnie Jean Trump

Bonnie Jean Trump, 91, of West Valley City, Utah, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2018 due to complications resulting from Alzheimer's. Her loving husband of 67 years was by her side. Bonnie was born in Tooele, Utah in the year 1927. Her father worked as a railroad station master. Bonnie had an interesting childhood living in different railroad depots throughout Utah. She graduated from West High School in Salt Lake City, and through the United States Cadet Nurse Corps received training in nursing resulting in a nursing degree from the University of Utah. Bonnie worked as a surgical nurse in hospitals in Salt Lake City and California. Bonnie Whyde married L. Dean Trump on November 9, 1951 and had three children Steven, Darrell and Allen. Bonnie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother admired by all who knew her. She enjoyed reading books and playing and listening to music. Bonnie loved gardening and scrapbooking. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for her entire life. Bonnie is survived by husband L. Dean; brother Terry Whyde; sons: Steven Trump (Connie), Darrell Trump (Debbie), Allen Trump (Deanna); 9 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. Bonnie is preceded in death by father Jess; mother Margaret; stepmother Hattie; and grandson Riley. The family of Bonnie Jean Trump wishes to thank Leslie, Kerry, Deb, Kylee and staff of Valeo Home Health and Hospice for the professional and loving care they gave our wife and mother. We also wish to thank Legacy House of Taylorsville for the exceptional care they provided to Bonnie. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 3, 2018, 11:00 a.m., at the Harvest Park Ward, 3671 South 4180 West, West Valley City, Utah 84120. Viewings will be held Friday, November 2nd, from 6-8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and again prior to services on Saturday at the church from 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
