Brett was born in SLC to James Parkin and Joyce Trujillo, June 15, 1954; he passed away April 22, 2016. He graduated from Ogden High. He served proudly in the U.S. Marines. He married Lydia Farmer. He had one son and two step-daughters. They were later divorced. He later found his soul-mate and the love of his life, Sharon McPhie in 2007. They enjoyed their retirement and their many travels together. They lived in Evanston, WY; Maricopa, AZ; and Pahrump, NV. He enjoyed sports and gambling. He is survived by Sharon McPhie; his son Brett Jr. (Mardell); 2 step-daughters, Amy(Carl) Bortz, Abby Condito; 2 brothers, Craig (Vesta) Parkin, Scott (Sharon) Parkin; 2 sisters, Gail (Skip) Wilson and Kay (Jeff) Thompson; parents James (Beverly) Parkin and Joyce Trujillo. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and his faithful dog, Susie. He was preceded in death by stepson Joe McPhie; brothers, Dan Johnson, Thom Trujillo; and his stepfather, Charlie Trujillo. Graveside services will be held Friday, April 29th, 1:00 p.m. at Camp Williams, 17111 S. Redwood Road.
