Brian Farni Til We Meet Again Brian Farni passed away peacefully June 22, 2013 after a 22 year battle with brain cancer. Brian is an amazing husband, father, son, brother-in-law, uncle, nephew and grandpa. Brian s strength and attitude of Don t worry til there is something to worry about was a great comfort to his family throughout all these years. Brian was born February 28, 1960 in Cortez, Colorado to Bud and Gail Farni. He grew up in Farmington, New Mexico along with his sister, Lisa and brother, Mike until he moved to Salt lake City in 1986. Brian met his wife, Theresa, in 1986 and they married June 28, 1991. Brian and Theresa have two beautiful daughters Lauren and Ciera and recently their first grandson, Atreyu born February 28, 2013, sharing his grandpa s birthday. Brian loved being with family, both from Farmington and Salt Lake, golfing, camping and watching the Dallas Cowboys. Brian is survived by his wife, Theresa; daughters: Lauren (Manny) and Ciera; mother, Gail; sister, Lisa (Frank) Mears; brother, Mike (Rhonda); father-in-law, James D. (Carole) Hooton; sisters-in-law, Lisa Hooton and Tanya Schwemmer; nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by father, Bud; and grandparents. Theresa, Lauren and Ciera want all the people who have helped us throughout the last 22 years, especially the last four years to know the kindness we have been shown has been amazing and helped get us through some very difficult times. A special thanks to Theresa s work family, Sizzling Platter, for their continuous support over all the years. Nurses Christi and Ashley, the doctors and nurses at the Huntsman Cancer Institute, University of Utah Hospital and Jordan Valley Hospital ICU for taking such good care of him. Graveside services will be held Thursday, June 27, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 South Redwood Road. A viewing will be held Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road.
