Bruce LeVear Hone, 65, passed away peacefully at home with loved ones near by. Bruce was a Diesel Mechanic for UTA for 31 years. He loved to build doll houses for his granddaughters, and tinker in the garage on cars or any motors. He loved to deer hunt and anything outdoors; camping, hiking and walking. Bruce liked to buy gadgets, as items seen ontv. He liked to explore and do rock hunting and loved strawberry ice cream. He knew his History. Bruce married Janet Holder on February 18, 1972 and they were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple, September, 1980. Bruce served in the military from 1972 to 1975. He worked for UTA, where he retired as a maintenance manager. Survived by his wife Janet Holder Hone; 4 children Wendi (Jonny) Herron, Penni Barry, Sherri (Eric) Borders and Lynn (Amanda) Hone; 11 grandchildren; Tyler, JakkiLynn, Sheldon, Coleton, Sammi, Channa, Trevor, Isabella, Dixie, Levi and Paisley; 2 great-grandchildren Preston and Grayson. Preceded in death by mother, Kathleen Hone; father LeVear Hone; and brother Russell Hone. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 22, 2017, 12:00 noon at the Mountain View 3rd Ward building, 9000 South 2901 West. Viewings will be held Tuesday, November 21, 6-8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and on Wednesday 11:00-11:45 a.m. at the church prior to funeral services.
