Taylorsville, UT - Bryce James Nelson, 27, passed away on December 13, 2016. Born on February 4, 1989 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Leslie Blake and Edward Allen Nelson, Bryce grew up in Taylorsville, Utah and graduated from Cottonwood High School in 2007. Growing up, Bryce loved learning how things worked. His natural curiosity, combined with an incredibly strong work ethic and desire to work with his hands, eventually developed into a number of skills and trades. Bryce never approached a job half-heartedly and he could do almost anything. Bryce also put his talents as a mechanic, plumber and handyman to use outside of work helping family, friends and many others on a regular basis. In 2011, Bryce married his best friend Katy Schramm. Together, they faced the challenges of life and were a constant support for each other. That bond was strengthened as they spent time together riding bikes, working on their house or just enjoying the fire pit in their backyard. Bryce will always be remembered for the humble way he served everyone around him. Whether it was fixing a car, installing a sink or helping to remodel a house, he continually sacrificed his own time and energy to help those he loved. Bryce is survived by his wife, Katy; parents, Ed and Leslie; sisters, Amanda (Wes) Horrocks and Jessica (Josh) Shipp; brother, Stuart; and grandmother Clarice Nelson. He was preceded in death by his brother, Daniel. A graveside service will be held Friday, December 16, 2016 at 11 am at the West Jordan City Cemetery at 7800 South 1300 West, West Jordan, Utah 84088. Arrangements are under the direction of McDougal Funeral Home. Place of Birth:Salt Lake City, UtahPlace of Death:Taylorsville, Utah
