Calvin Dean Casper 1956 ~ 2011 Our beloved husband, father, papa, brother, uncle and friend, Calvin Dean Casper, age 55, passed away September 10, 2011 at home surrounded by his family after a valiant fight with Emphysema Born August 6, 1956 in Murray, Utah to Connie Tanner and Clifton Casper. With his father being in the Navy, he had the experience of living in many places, eventually settling in West Valley City. On June 5, 1976 Cal married his high school sweetheart and eternal companion, Pam McIntosh. Together they have five wonderful children: Minon (Gary), Rikki (Jon), Cleveland (Nicole), Alec (Morgan) and Nathan (Megan). He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and fulfilled many callings: some of his favorite being in the bishopric and various presidencies. Cal provided for his family by choosing a career in the steel industry and was an Estimator at the time of his passing. He is leaving behind many friends at Viking Steel, Steel Works and Legacy Steel. Cal is survived by his wife; children; seven grandchildren; and siblings, Brad, Carrie, Mark, and Diane. Preceded in death by his parents; and one nephew. The family would like to express a special thanks to Hospice For Utah and their loving care of Cal; especially his nurse, Chelsea who made his last few months more bearable. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 11:00 a.m., at the Utah Mountain Shadows Stake Center, 3200 West 8173 South. Viewings will be held Friday, 6 - 8 pm., at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, and Saturday at the church, 10 - 10:45 a.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
