Calvin H. Harker "Served Honorably" Calvin Hutchings Harker, 88, died October 20, 2013 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Born July 1, 1925 in Bingham Canyon, Utah, son of Joseph Henry and Bertha Alice Hutchings Harker. Married Carol Naylor in 1947; later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Later divorced. Active member of the LDS Church. Served during WWII where he was a Corporal in the US Marines. Retired from Kennecott Copper Corp where he never called in sick for 46 years. Cal was a good provider, loved photography, attended the University of Utah and kept a very clean car. Survived by 5 children: Brent (Debbie) Harker, Shelley (John) Child, Laurie (Rick) Castleberry, Leslie (Neil) Larsen and Brian Harker; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by son, Calvin Hutchings Harker, Jr.; parents and brother, Keith Harker. Graveside services will be held Thursday, October 24, 2013, 12:30 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan. A viewing will be held Thursday, 11 a.m.-12:00 noon at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville.
