On July 3, 2015 our wife, mother, sister and grandmother, Carey Ann Luthi Christensen, finished her life's work. Her family and many friends will miss her greatly but we know she's simply begun that next project! Carey was born May 24, 2015 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Allen B. and Ann S. Luthi. She grew up in the Salt Lake area until she was eight, then Soda Springs, ID with her sisters Karen and Janice and brother Allen. She graduated from Soda Springs High School in 1977 in the top ten of her class, terribly happy that more algebra classes weren't required. After spending time at Ricks College, she moved to Salt Lake where she worked for several years. She enjoyed softball, traveling and especially square dancing. While dancing, she met her eternal partner. Jan brought with him two sons, Kenyon and Ryan, who Carey loved as her own. During her later years she loved spending time with family and friends, bringing joy to others through unique cards, calendars and scrapbooks. She also loved working with her Cub Scouts! Carey is survived by her loving husband, Jan D. Christensen; sons Kenyon (Heather) Christensen of Saratoga Springs, UT; Ryan ( Brianna) Christensen of Richmond, VA; parents, Allen and Ann Luthi of Lava, ID; siblings Karen (Greg) Lowry, of Freedom, ID; Janice (Bret) Campbell of Lava, ID; and Allen (Liesl) Luthi of Bakersfield, CA; and many grandchildren, uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, as well as her Cubs and many, many friends.
