Carl Reed Rasmussen Sr.

Born April 25, 1923, passed away April 14, 2016. He married our mother Virginia (June) Bohner, June 1, 1946; she preceded him in death (born June 17, 1924 July 19, 1995). Married Gwendolyn Box in 2006; she passed away in 2011. He was a veteran of WW II. He enlisted December 11, 1941, and served in the U.S. Army Infantry in the Aleutian Islands the first part of the war and then in Europe. He was honorably discharged on October 17, 1945. He was very proud of his 62 year membership in the Operating Engineers local 3, and as 32nd degree Mason with Christopher Diehl Lodge, Canyon Lodge, Adah Chapter, Bethany Chapter, and 50 years in the Scottish Rite. Survived by sons, Carl R. Jr., (Sandy deceased), William E. (Dawn) and Robert Tim (Carrie); 9 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. Services were held Saturday, April 23, 2016, Pleasant Green Cemetery. Place of Birth:Magna, UtahPlace of Death:West Valley City, Utah
