Carma Woolf Kirkland

Carma Woolf was born in Boise, Idaho, on April 28, 1923, to Varetta Taylor and Milo H. Woolf. Carma passed away in Salt Lake City on July 2, 2018. She grew up in Riverdale, Idaho, and married Don S. Austin; later divorced. She married Harry E. "Kirk" Kirkland, who passed away in 1997. She later married Charles H. Posey, and he passed away in 2009. As a young mother, Carma worked at Salt Lake Stamp Co., as a waitress, and as a pickle packer at a local company. She retired from Litton Systems in 1988 after 29 years of service. She enjoyed traveling and doing genealogical research for family and friends, providing information to others who shared her interest. Carma had true compassion for others and loved her friends and relatives dearly. Survived by children, D. Jerry (Patricia) Austin, Dean M. (Sharla) Austin, Connie A. Young (Greg Waters); step-children, Gregg Kirkland, Carolyn Mayfield, Mindee Posey, Denise (Steve) Horton, Kerry (Lynette) Posey; and large extended family; also 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 18 great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents; husbands; and sons, John W. Austin and Boyd E. Austin; as well as one great-grandson, Todd Austin; and sister, Phyllis Cutright. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at the LDS 29th Ward Building at 1148 West 500 North, SLC, Utah. Friends may call Monday, July 9, 2018 from 6-7:30 at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S Redwood Rd, Taylorsville, or 10:15 to 10:45 am prior to services at the church. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
