Carol E. Cook Rasmussen Bawden

Our dear mother, grandmother, great-grandmother (GG), and great-great-grandmother, Carol E. Cook Rasmussen Bawden, died September 25, 2014, in West Jordan, Utah. She was born January 12, 1918, in Lehi, Utah, to Abraham Hunter and Evelyn Beatrice Weaver Cook. She was raised in Magna. She married Norman O. Rasmussen June 12, 1937; they resided in Hunter, Utah. He died on his birthday in 1987. On May 30, 1992, she married William Leland Bawden, a caring and sincere man, and inherited a second family. Leland died in September of 2006. She enjoyed serving with her sealing group in the Jordan River Temple from 1991 to 2012. Mom loved dancing, traveling, and shopping for shoes. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathleen Ann Rasmussen. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Rex Willard; grandchildren, Debbie (Kevin) Jacobs, Brent (Carrie) Willard, and Bryan (Cindy) Willard. She has 27 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by Leland's children, Lela (Fife) Bowen, Darrell (Barbara) Bawden, Ruby (Dan) Leatherwood, Arlene (Ron) Fors, and Douglas (Carol) Bawden. Through this family she has 53 grandchildren, 91 great-grandchildren, and 30 great-great-grandchildren. Our family would like to thank the staff at Copper Ridge Care Center and Tender Care Hospice for the loving care they provided Mom for the past seven months. A viewing be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Saturday, October 4, followed by funeral services at 1:00 p.m., both at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, in Taylorsville.
