Carol Mae (Gayler) Chapman

Our beloved beautiful Mom, Grandma, Great-grandma, and Sister, Carol Mae (Gayler) Chapman, passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 10, 2019, in Westminster, Colorado at The Center at Northridge Rehabilitation. Carol was born to Richard Albert Gayler and Martha Barger. She was born on April 9, 1934 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Carol married David Chapman on October 23, 1953 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Carol is preceded in death by her husband, David L Chapman, Sr., and her son David L Jr. She is survived by her children Gerald (Janine) Chapman of Erie, Colorado, Larry Chapman of St. George, UT., Denise Fox of St. George, UT., and Shari Fernelius of West Valley City; her brother Dick (Danna) Gayler of Layton, UT.; fourteen grandchildren; and 39 great-grandchildren. She had a genuine one-of-a-kind relationship with those she loved. Her beautiful spirit always showed through no matter what she was involved in. She loved playing bingo with her friends from Harmony Gardens. She is beloved and will be terribly missed.

A viewing will be held Monday night, April 15, 2019, from 6-8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road. Funeral services will be at the same location on Tuesday, April 16, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. with a viewing 12-12:45 p.m. prior to the services. Interment will follow at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 South Redwood, West Jordan, UT.
